We just got back from florida shooting our national TV commercials and the trip was outstanding. We started off in Port Richey with Captain Curt Romanowski fishing for trout and redfish. The fishing was a  little difficult. Florida had a heat wave and the temperature was in the 90's. The water temp was about 80 making the top water bite a little sluggish. We caught most of our fish on jigs popping them off the bottom simulating the white baitfish in the bays. Our Baby Bass color looks exactly like them. We then headed over to St. Pete's and fished with Jack and Cody from Champion Anglers.com. We caught tons of fish in the Gulf and the lady fish would not leave that SkippyFiSH alone. The X-E Shad, Albino Shad and Threadfin Shad colors worked the best on that excursion. Schools of Skip Jack were busting on the surface and slamming the bait. We finished up on Saturday with a successful shoot.
We then drove to the east coast and fished Lake Toho in Kissimme, FL. Brian Detweiler of Big Toho Enterprises hosted us for Sunday.
They also had there year end classic tournament going on and every angler had a bag of SkippyFiSH with them. We shot our commercial as the tournament was going on and what a day. We caught many 3's and 4's and had a great audience. Families fishing from docks couldn't believe their eyes when they saw the camera's rolling and we pulled out a 9lber on a 6" Watermelon/Red SkippyFiSH. They all wanted to be in the commercial and were begging us for a bag of SkippyFiSH. We handed out some samples and continued fishing. We got back to the marina and filmed the weigh in. Jerry won the tournament and caught an 9lb and a 13lb bass on a 4" Watermelon/Red SkippyFiSH used as a trailer on a spinner bait. He was jacked up and so were we. Mike Haney, our producer couldn't beleive his eyes when Jerry pulled those 2 monsters from his live well. I looked at him and said welcome to Florida and welcome to the world of SkippyFiSH. We both laughed and got in the truck to head back home to PA.
