Touring bass pro Lou Consoli of Pennsylvania is no stranger to the high stakes game of tournament bass fishing. Lou has been competing at the highest level of competition in the sport since the early 90's. In 1989 he earned the title "Rookie of the Year" by the MBAA tournament organization. He was billed as one of the youngest pro bass fisherman in the country at the age of 17. He landed his first major sponsor with Fisher bass boats of OMC Group in 1990 at the age of 18. Lou was the youngest pro on the staff with the likes of Bill Dance, Shaw Grigsby and Paul Elias. Over the next few years his great sponsors had included Zebco, Quantum, Motor Guide, Plano Tackle Systems, Tru Turn & Diachii hooks, Mister Twister, Pradco, Stren fishing lines, Hobie sunglasses, Pro Tour USA and Highway Marine. In 1995 Lou was approached by a local radio station in the Philadelphia market to host an outdoor radio show. Pro Tour USA's "On the Water" with Lou Consoli was born. Lou hosted a show every Sunday evening from 6-7pm to an audience of over 1.3 million people for two years. Guests included top bass pro's like Claude "fish" Fishburn, Bernie Shultz, Joe Thomas, Shaw Grigsby, Randy Howell, Jay Yelas and many others. Over the years Lou has done the seminar circuits and has been written about in many newspapers & publications across the country like The Herald Democrat, North Penn Reporter, Allentown Morning Call, Philadelphia Inquire, Philadelphia Daily News, BASS Times and Bassmaster Magazine. He also has made several guest appearences on radio stations and was featured on the long time running TV show "Sportsline" on Comcast Sports Cable Network. Lou's business background in sales and marketing has made him a valuable asset to companies interested in promoting there brand. "I have started a few companies over the years and brought one from an idea one day to 1.2 million in just one year. I kinda get it." said Consoli as he smiles. I understand the business side of fishing very well and know what sponsors expect. If product isn't moving off the shelves, no one is making money and that's just not good for anybody.
