Growing up in Southern Ca, I was fishing both Fresh and Saltwater by the age of eight. My father owned a Scuba business and a small charter boat. Certified Scuba diver since age 11, fishing and diving took up all my free time. Although I fished a lot of small lakes and ponds, Otay Lake Reservoir was my home lake and still is. When I wasn't on a lake I was fishing all of San Diego's and Mexico's Coastal Off shore waters. I have been fishing out of Sea Forth and H&M Sport fishing for many years and have won the Big Fish Jackpot 3 times. I have family in Alaska that own and run a commercial fishing business. As soon as I was done with school I moved to Kenai Alaska to work. Fishing mainly for Salmon and Halibut, I also gained a love for hunting and bagged everything from duck to moose. There came a time after I returned from from Ak that I decided to concentrate on my first love, bass fishing. Currently fishing in the BASSMASTER Opens and look forward to the WON and other CA Pro Series events.
A few years ago I met Bass Pro Lou Consoli at a BassMasters event on the Red River Lousiana. He introduced me to very unique versatile soft plastic bait that he was perfecting in hopes to market someday. At the time the bait was not yet in production. Before parting that day he gave me a huge bag of samples. I took these baits home to California and gave them a test.CA clear lakes and reservoirs are always a tough bite. These baits are so natural and lifelike they had no problem fooling fish. Dropshot, Texas rig, Carolina rig, jig head.... etc I found a ton of ways to rig these baits. Saltwater was off the hook! I caught a Halibut a Calico and Sandbass on them the first time out the next tournament I was in I shared some with my practice partner Jerry Dicola at Lake Amistad Texas. The rest is history! On day 3 of the tournament sitting 13th Jerry used Lou's baits to become a BASSMASTERS Champion and take home a new boat and all the cash! That winning bait is called SKIPPYFISH!
