5 year old, Houston Doss of Tupelo, MS is the real Balloon Boy! For the last year we have been thinking of a way to give back to the community and help promote the sport of fishing. Last year we helped our church put together a kids fishing day and it was a huge success. This year was the second annual kids fishing day and the turn out was even greater. Great sponsors like Tru Turn hooks, Road Runner lures and SkippyFiSH donated tackle to the kids. The day was a big success and the kids can't wait till next year. A few months ago a family in Colorado made national news by hoaxing the world into believing there son was trapped in a balloon that was floating out of control and crashed in a field. We all came to find out that it was only a publicity stunt to gain fame for a potential reality show. What a terrible way to get publicity by exploiting there child. When I saw the story an idea popped into my mind. This just might be a great way to take a negative and turn it into a positive. We created a press release and sent it out to the world. The headline read "Balloon Boy Inks Deal with SkippyFiSH". An hour and forty minutes later Los Angeles based TMZ had contacted our office looking for the scoop on Balloon Boy. We were short and brief and said we would be in contact with them after the deal was put together. Houston's mom bought some SkippyFiSH and took her son fishing. He loved them and she sent this picture to us. It was so creative we said this is our Balloon Boy. It was a perfect fit. SkippyFiSH Bait Co. will reach out to churches in the country and expand our kids fishing day programs. It's a great opportunity to bring families together and spend quality time with there kids. The reward is humbling to be able to put smiles on kid's faces. We even get kids to kiss the fish. It's great. All the kids at the events will now get SkippyFiSH balloons and tackle from our sponsors and Houston Doss will lead the charge to get other kids excited about fishing as he is.

"I love fishing and I love skippyfish. It squirms good and I catch lots of fish."
